Amanda is a sophomore at Flowing Wells High School, where she is on the cross country, soccer and track teams, and is in partner dance.  She is very outgoing and has a positive attitude, and wants to become a veterinarian.

Andrea is a junior at Tucson High School and is enjoying it.  She loves sushi, reggae music, yoga, drumming and diversity.  She plans to go to NAU and become a physical therapist, travel to Africa and join the Peacecorps.

Antonia is a senior at Salpointe, where she is a peer counselor and is in the choir.  She is also actively involved in her church youth group and has a part-time job downtown.

Arayah is a junior at Tucson High School.  She loves travel, the desert and her family (especially her puppy) and is always trying new things.

Armando is a 2007 graduate from Tucson High Magnet School and is now attending Pima Community College.  He is working with the University of Arizona and is a member of the Social Justice Education Project (SJEP).

Betty Jo is a freshman at Pima College.  She plans to transfer to the UofA and major in political science.  She loves to cheerlead and help out in her community.  She hopes to become an attorney.

Carrie is a junior at City High School.  She loves to express herself through arts and crafts and loves playing the guitar.  She enjoys being outdoors, especially near the ocean, and she enjoys sailing.

Geovanna Geo is a sophomore at Pima Community College.  You can always find her trying to make people laugh and have a good time … but if you think you can handle it, she’ll give you a piece of her mind.  She is part of the Social Justice Educational Project and is a very adventurous, friendly, open, non-judgmental type of chica.

Jaclyn is a freshman at Catalina Foothills High School, is in Girl Scouts, knits, and loves writing.  She loves spending time with her family and friends and loves to help others.  She hopes to become a journalist.

Lylah is a junior at Tucson High School and plays the cello in the school orchestra.  It’s her first year in Youth Crew and she hopes to influence her community positively through this experience.

Maria is a Senior at CDO High School.  She is greatly involved in her school through various clubs.  She hopes to make a positive impact on the world, starting right now.

Ramón is a Biomedical Engineering major at the UofA hoping for a degree in vocal studies.  He plays mariachi, dances folklórico, reads counter-hegemonic literature, plays soccer, and wants to become a doctor and change the world with love.

Steve is a junior at Catalina Foothills High School.  He enjoys volunteering, is on the swim team, enjoys traveling to different countries, and hopes to volunteer in the Latin America this summer.  Steve is from Boston and is a huge fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.
